COP 26, Glasgow – Brunel this week
It is a historic week for the world – and it is no different for for us.
On Tuesday, David Vickers, our CIO, Faith Ward, our Chief Responsible Investment Officer, and David Cox, our Head of Listed Markets, will deliver a seminar at the London Stock Exchange entitled ‘COP 26 & Net Zero: What Brunel expects of managers’. You can register to watch the seminar via live stream on the BrightTalk website.
Faith Ward, who last week was shortlisted for ‘Personality of the Year’ at the LAPF Investment Awards, will be travelling to Glasgow with an all-areas pass for COP 26, where she will be participating in seminars and panels, and meeting with policymakers, in her role as Chair of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change. Later in the week, she will also be attending the Federated Hermes event at the Climate Fringe festival in Glasgow. She will attend further events the following week at the University of Glasgow (pictured above).
Denise Le Gal, our Chair, will meanwhile be attending the A4S Finance for the Future Awards in London.
Following a news announcement tomorrow, we will also be posting, in the second half of this week, an update on COP 26. After liaising with Faith Ward in Glasgow to make it as timely and relevant as possible, that update will be posted to this website and shared via social media.
We hope these updates will be useful. Please keep an eye on our website to remain up-to-date.
Above all, however, we hope politicians, scientists, businesses and investors alike make the commitments and progress this week that the planet so urgently needs.
All eyes on Glasgow.
