IPE Awards: Brunel and EAPF win in multiple categories at Europe-wide awards
Brunel Pension Partnership won the Impact Investing and Carbon & Net Zero Strategy categories at the IPE Awards in Prague last night.
The awards are open to applicants from across Europe, boast an expert, independent panel of judges, and reward pensions and investment leadership across multiple categories.
Brunel’s applications covered multiple activities across our RI and stewardship approach, and highlighted several key initiatives, policies and reports, including:
“We value this recognition from leading peers in the industry enormously,” said Faith Ward, Chief Responsible Investment Officer at Brunel. “Our successes are built on industry-wide collaboration. We plan to continue and we hope to build confidence in others in the industry to address the investment challenges and opportunities presented by climate change, social impact and other key RI themes, particularly in these challenging times.”
“I’d especially like to flag that a key initiative has been our focus on providing clarity as to our climate expectations for our asset managers for both risk analytics and stewardship,” said Ward.
Congratulations to the EAPF!
The Environment Agency Pension Fund, one of Brunel’s clients, was also a winner, most notably in the headline category: European Pension Fund of the Year.
“We send very warm congratulations to the EAPF on a well-deserved win,” said Ward. “Having worked at the Environment Agency for many years myself, it has been a pleasure to continue to support work with the EAPF in my role at Brunel – and to witness all they have achieved.”
