Room 151: Brunel CEO highlights partnership as key enabler for LGPS policy overhaul

An Op-Ed by Laura Chappell has been published by Room 151, in which Brunel’s CEO shows how the partnership between pools and their administering authorities are key to successful evolution of the LGPS.

Drawing on Brunel’s own experience since its founding, she highlights that Brunel’s work with FTSE to create new Paris-aligned benchmarks was only the first part of the project – the second was five of the pool’s partner funds committing funds to track those benchmarks.

There is potential for government reforms to benefit the LGPS sector, she says, so long as those partnerships help drive the change.
